A couple program firsts helped lead to the selection of the latest Gateway Tire Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 22.
Summit High School junior striker Summer Riley scored five goals in two matches as the Spartans clinched the program's first regular season District 10-AAA title, while Grace Christian Academy junior Grayson DeGraff scored two touchdowns to help lead the Lions to their first 5-0 start on the gridiron.
The pair were chosen as part of the Athlete of the Week awards sponsored by Garth Bouldin of Gateway Tire & Service Center in Franklin. Each week, athletes from Williamson County are selected and featured in the Williamson Herald throughout the school year.
